Einleitung

The Macromedia University is part of the internationally active education group Galileo Global Education that provides young people from all over the world with access to higher education academic study and qualifications. More than 110,000 students worldwide are enrolled under the Galileo Global Education umbrella. As a private educational institution, we are consistently expanding our educational program in Germany through the Macromedia brand (university and academy), Cours Florent and the Atelier Chardon Savard. For our Campus Berlin we are currently seeking for winter semester 2020/2021, starting October 8th, 2020


Lecturer for Master Media Economics and Management (Seminar) (f/m/n)

 

The course is to take place onsite at the Berlin campus, in compliance with current hygiene regulations.

Upon completion of the module, students are capable of
  • engaging in discussions with other course participants about the specific consequences for the management of media companies, which result from the characteristics of media products
  • understanding the particular challenges of media management in terms of managing creative talents
  • outlining the legal aspects in the context of media management
  • assessing whether legal aspects need to be clarified in connection with certain decisions in media and communication management. Explaining the characteristics of media products
  • analysing media industries and individual companies using the concept of the value-added chain or other value-added structures
  • evaluating companies based on various concepts of a “business model” with regard to future viability e.g. within the framework of a presentation prior to the course or invited guest experts
  • examining the consequences of digital transformation processes for media industries as well as for certain companies
  • developing ideas for the diversification of media companies’ existing business as part of a team
  • assessing the political dimension of media management and the media economy


Seminar is taking place at the Berlin Campus on Fridays or Saturdays.
